Guitar Rig 6 Player will not open

When downloaded the app opened once and while in use it stopped responding and I closed it. Since then the app will not open. When run, the loading wheel will briefly appear beside the cursor and then disappear without opening the app. This issue has persisted through multiple restarts and reinstallations of both Native Instruments and Guitar Rig 6 player.
