How to create a melody using the same sound and key as Battery presets

I like quite a few of the sounds that are in the packs in battery 4, when I hit the sound with the mouse it is in a certain key, I want to use that sound to create a melody, what is the best way to do this? I use FL Studio, I wanted to copy it to edison but cant figure out how...any ideas?

    If it is a sound that contains some decent pitch information, have you thought about importing that particular sound into Kontakt and using Tone Machine to create a new instrument?

    Alternatively, you could build your own Battery kit using just the desired sound(s), copy to all the pads, and then pitch each one individually. Even being able to micro-pitch for non standard scales.
