Compatibility of sampling sound sources that can be used with Kontakt 3

I am Japanese. I'm not good at English. Please understand.

I'm thinking of buying a new sampling sound source. However, it is written that the sound source is old and supported by Kontakt sampler 3 or 4.

When I asked the manufacturer, they said, "I can probably use it," but can I use it with Kontakt8?

Not sure it would work, the activation mechanisms have changed since then. Does this product comes with a serial number? Did it require the full version of Kontakt 3 back then or the free version was enough?

Hello,

i would say this will work but of course can´t give a guarantee, there are also some free kontakt instruments from around the time when kontakt 4 was new and they also work with kontakt 8. And you need the full version of kontakt for it to work but i guess you already know that and that´s why you ask.
