A Walk in the WildsDemo example
A lot of people won't like this, but… I often find myself looking for depth, espcially when it comes to sci-fi scenes, and rather than use reverbs, delays or vocal samples, sometimes I'll use an atonal bass pad upon which to layer glitches, or real instruments. The two wavetable oscilators compete slightly here, with a dirty undertone. I repeat, it may not sound like much at first, but turn off the Animator, and you've got absolute control over sound tweaks with six macros. The animator is on by deault, because it has a nice texture to it. You only need to play one note. Layer in some micro-stabs, or gated C4 upwards for added interest. C5 upwards feels like a new soft lead pad. This could be at home in a nightclub scene, or underlying soundscape on something softer, at lower volume.
