Muting a drum through Studio Drummer mixer

Hi Folks.

Usually it had been enough for me to use Studio Drummer "out of the box" with minor tweaking.

Recently I was trying to assemble a track where I needed only cymbals out of the groove, which had snare and kick also. Naturally, I went to the mixer and muted kick and snare... however, they still could be heard. The only way out was to go to "Kit" tab select snare and kick there and dial their OH mix and Room mix knobs to turn them off...(while they were muted in the mixer)

Is this how it works? I thought that if you mute a drum trough the mixer it should be muted, regardless of "Kit" tab knobs. I thought there is a way to "scroll" that mixer to see all pieces in the kit, but seems it is limited to 9 strips. What am I missing? Or this is how it supposed to be?

Thank you for your time.

Yes, that's how it works when you mix actual drums too.

Thank you for being here and your reply!

P.S. I still think that mixer should have sliders for all drum pieces in one place :)
