Why can I not see Komplete Kontrol VST 3 in Ableton

    There must be something wrong with plugin scanning - If you look at Jeremy_NI's screen shot there are duplicates of everything - an AU and a VST for each Native plug in - You just appear to have only the AU for Komplete Kontrol and the VST3 for everything else - I'm wondering why you have no AU plugins for anything else?

    thanks for clarifying. That’s what I thought was the case, which is why I’ve been so desperately trying to get the VST3 to show up in Ableton. I’ve literally scoured the forum for two weeks now for any solution but I’m butting my head against a wall at this point. I really hope they can help me find the problem. If I have to do another complete re-install of NI apps ( I’ve had to do 5 already at this point to fix various other issues) I think I’m going to lose it!

    I only install au plugins for older plugins like Trash2 that aren’t discontinued. For everything else I run custom installs and only install vst3. This keeps my browser a lot cleaner. I was forced to do au for NI specifically because the VST3 won’t show up. All my plugins are installed I. The default location because I like to be able to use my machine even when I don’t have my external drive with me ( the one that contains my massive sound library.)

    Honestly it shouldn’t be this complicated. I’ve been using Ableton for years and have never had this issue with any other plugin.

    Does Ableton Live have full disk access ? I am not sure if it has any bearing on this but since solutions appear as scarce then maybe worth checking also ? I don't know if it has any bearing on any scans..

    ALL NI apps including NTKDaemon must have full disk access. : How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS

    By the way , just to make sure that you did follow that part of the advice then :
