Is it possible to turn premade loops from the Leap expansions into individual MIDI notes?

Hello, Logic Pro user (latest version) here with NI KOMPLETE 15 STANDARD. I've been having fun with loops from the LEAP expansions, but would love to customize some of the notes so I'm not just using the loop melody out of the box. I got a premade drum pattern from RUDIMENTS and was able to drag and drop it over to Logic Pro and it turned into individual MIDI notes so I can change it up, take away, add etc.

Is this possible with the LEAP loops and if so, how?

Thank you!

Not in the same way you do with Rudiments.

My comprehension is that LEAP loops are audio files. Rudiments’ one are already midi patterns playing the various drums samples, therefore they can be modified.

Some DAWs have audio to midi conversion, but even with that the problem is that with LEAP there is no “instrument” that can be played, so in any case you’ll have to use that converted midi to play another instrument, not the same sound from the loop.

Another way could be to chop the loop in a sampler and then transpose the various notes at your wish, but the result could not be ideal

Thanks so much for explaining the differences, @LostInFoundation that makes sense since LEAP shows audio waveforms. I think I'll just have to find a synth instrument that sounds similar and then just play a similar pattern and then I can go from there and add to it. Thank you for clarifying that it's not as easy as with Rudiments! : )
