Lores XY pad automation

Is there a way to assign the XY pad function in Lores' Instrument Stage to MIDI cc's? Using the mouse limits only altering 1 instrument at a time, and doesn't permit you to record the changes in the DAW. I'm using DP, and have seen posts where this is a problem in Cubase as well.

Thanks

Hoping to save someone else the time I spent going through this:

So after some more digging and experimenting I've found that I can only access Kontakt's host automation in Digital Performer if I have Kontakt hosted in DP's Sequence Editor, rather than in VEPro or in DP's Chunks. You just open a lane in the Sequence Editor for the Kontakt instrument containing Lores (not it's MIDI track) and follow the dropdown menu from there. You'd need to check inside of Kontakt what each parameter is assigned to because only the parameter number will show up in DP, not what it's assigned to.

    I hope this helps.

I tried to map XY parameters to MIDI CC on Ableton Live, but it seems not to work correctly.

The actual XY parameters are shown in the picture below.

These parameters can't be mapped to CC inside Kontakt, so I used another plugin to do it externally.
After mapping was done, I found that no sound changes happened despite parameter values changed. Parameter changes didn't apply to Kontakt until I clicked "Instrument Stage" UI.

I don't know if this behavior is glitch or if I've done something wrong.

Thanks for the reply, chiakli. From what I can tell by checking Kontakt's manual and online research, it seems you get the same result from both automation tabs, and since I usually use the MIDI Automation tab, I'm unfamiliar with the Host, so I'll do more digging. What was the external plugin you used?
