Is there a tool to Extract Native Sound Patch from Logic

There are a few discussions that talk about recovering from old versions of Logic. The ones I've found talk about upgrading Kontakt.

I'm more interested in trying to recover the actual sound library and patch name from older Logic Projects. If I know the patch names, I can re-construct in Kontakt 8.

The scenario is a project finalised in 2021. Open it today in Logic Pro 11.1.2 and it is silent. MIDI is visible but nothing showing on the meters. I used "Kontakt (no version number)".

It says that there is an audio unit problem which might cause the system to become unstable. You can quit or recover, but it never recovers.

Fundamentally, it is a Kontakt version issue. Older versions of the plugin no longer talk to Logic.

If you attempt to open it keeps showing the error. You never have a chance to see the original patch selected.

The objective is trying to make sure I find the exact same matching sound patches. At the time I wasn't disciplined enough to include the library > patch hierarchy in the track name (I wish there was a default that updated - which would also help with some of those accidental patch changes that are indeed possible).

I've looked inside the Logic package but plists aren't revealing anything.

Does anybody know of a tool that might be able to recover the text names of the patches used on each track?

Just experimenting with the Logic built in Alchemy. When you choose a sample it automatically updates the track name unless you've already changed it manually.

    Native plug-ins don't support that.
