Playback sound not same as input sound

Why does an NI percussion instrument ("Buk" Spotlight East Asia) only play back its head sound and not its rim sound? The instrument is mapped so that C4 is the head and F4 is the rim. When I enter the notes (in Dorico 5 Pro) I hear the correct sounds. When I playback, it is all just the head sound, no rim sound.

First of all, which instrument are you using? There are two Buk instruments: samul and sori, and these have some differences in style, including the use of rims.

Also, if you check the Sori variant you'll notice that it has rims available and these are definitely being used within the available patterns:

If this sounds differently during playback then I can only conclude that something must have gone wrong with either the recording, or perhaps the MIDI mapping is off? When I try to play the Buk using Live & Push then I can't reproduce any issues with playback of the rims.

    Hope this can help.
