How to HOLD notes with arpeggiator off

Hi there,

not sure if it has already been asked but couldn't find it through the search box:

How do you HOLD a note or a chord on Kontrol MK3 keyboard without having any arpeggiator/note repeat on or pedal connected?

This is such a very basic function present on every master keyboard/synth I ever played, therefore I am pretty surprised it's not so clear how do do it on Kontrol.
