Dear folks,

This awesome guitar library used to look cool with all the colors and keys in KONTAKT 5. In KONTAKT 8 it is totally grey with some stuff displayed small and black?

Anybody know how to make this old library look good again in KONTAKT 8?

Very respectfully,

chordbeing

It still sounds good, that works. One just can not see what is going on.

Same issue here. No problem with other libraries, only with this one. Already completely removed and reinstalled. Checked the image folder and it is all there. But I can't get it right.

    Cool.

I guess KONTAKT 6 and KONTAKT 8 can work together right? So, I just run this one in KONTAKT 6 for now?

    Please try the following:

    • After loading nki into K8, Navigate to "Editor view (wrench icon) -> Instrument Options -> Instrument
    • Under "Resource Container" click on the envelop icon to open the Os file explorer
    • Point to the NKR file inside of the content folder (where the library in installed on the system)
    • Save NKI and reopen K8 + load NKI

Yes, it works!! There is only one thing I noticed that is weird. i load up a couple of libraries in REAPER and save it. When I re-open REAPER it starts fast with all the previously loaded kontakt libraries ready to play, very nice and fast.

Idem with Ableton Live 12. Loads up very fast and efficient.

I also have Cubase 14. In this DAW………it takes light years to re-open an instance with previously loaded libraries. This just takes way too long………
