Been browsing YT and the forum not seeing anyone using the 2 of these together, older version of GR but not 7.

Anyone using the FCB1010 with GR7 ??? Is it good? Latency?

I think I've figured it out. I'm pretty sure I misunderstood how the global macros component worked. I'm playing around with it now, and it looks like each of the controls in the macros will always be assigned to the same physical switches on the FCB1010, but I can assign the controls to different effects within each preset. There are some users here. Me, for example.
I use the following combination on stage and in the band room: FCB1010, RME Babyface Pro sound card and various PCs/laptops.
I control GR7 standalone. It works for me.
What do you mean by latency? FCB1010 sends midi signals. And these are very easy to process in the PC.

In past I have had issues with latency with midi devices or software, you know hit the key and half a second later sound comes out.

Good to know you can use the FCB, what software did you use to set it up?

What exactly you mean by latency is not yet clear to me. Control via Midi is definitely not slower than via the keyboard.
Since programming the FCB1010 directly on the board was too complicated for me, I used the freeware FCB1010 Manager. https://mountainutilities.eu/fcb1010

I'm using the FCB1010 in my home studio with GR7 and it's working really well. Definitely not noticing any latency. :)

I am having trouble with one thing, but I think it's guitar rig, not the controller. I'm trying to use 'containers' across different presets so I can use the foot switches for different controls in each preset, but I can't seem to configure the macros to be 'toggle' mode. It seems like they can only be used as 'momentary' switches. This means I have to hold the footswitch down for the effect to remain activated, which isn't ideal. This doesn't happen when using the 'global macros' instead of the container component, but global macros are applied across all presets, so they must control the same things for every rig, which isn't ideal either.

If anyone can help me out with that issue, I'd love to hear how others are approaching this! Or if I've just gotten something wrong!
