How to relocate Kontakt 8 User Folder?

Hi, I want to relocate Kontakt 8 user folder to another drive, it seem you could add a new user folder location in Kontakt 8 but not remove the default location so Leap Patches, for an example, are still saved automatically, you can’t choose the path, in the Macintosh main drive. I know tha you easily relocate NI library with Native Access but I’m talking about user folder.

Is it possible to change the default user folder to another drive?

cheers thanks in advance Eriberto

Unfortunately this is not possible, I'll forward this as a feature request.

    Hey @eriberto

The default location for Leap user presets is the following, like for all other instrument presets:

    MacHD/Users/Username/Documents/Native Instruments/User Content/Kontakt 8/Leap

This can't be changed, Please note that these file are only very small files saving the preset not the instrument/samples themselves.

it seem you could add a new user folder location in Kontakt 8

What do you mean by that? Do you mean this (just checking as I'm a little confused): How to Add Non-Player Libraries to Kontakt 7 / 8's Browser

hi I know I could add a new folder path as you said, but Kontakt 8 only read from this, you could only save Instruments to default folder path.

I would like to set another folder also for saving preset.

    thanks, cheers Eriberto
