Kontakt 8.1.0 extremely sluggish, unusable.

Mac Studio M2 Max 4TB / 64GB / 12CPU / 30 GPU / Sonoma 14.7.2.

I launch Kontakt 8.1.0 standalone, and the interface responds to mouse clicks after a few seconds delay each time. E.g. I click on an instrument and wait 3 seconds for it to become highlighted. I double-click and wait a few seconds for anything to happen. With any instrument loaded, I click a star to favorite a preset and wait 3 seconds for the star to light up. I click the gear to import a new library and no dialog appears for perhaps 5 seconds.

I am not having problems with Kontakt 7.10.7. For me this is a Kontakt 8 issue.

I have rebooted my computer, tried changing multiprocessor settings, nothing works.

Is this a known issue? Are there any fixes or workarounds? Thank you
