Is there a setting in the S61 Mk3, to switch between the midi outputs?

Hi. I am trying to use my Roland JV-1010 external module to use the authentic synth sounds. I am using LOGIC PRO X, the KONTROL S61 Mk3 keyboard and using a Scarlett 4i4 (3rd gen) interface.

LOGIC sees the midi coming from the S61 - the JV 1010 does not. I have the S61 connected to the computer using the USB cable. I have a 5 pin DIN cable plugged into the MIDI out of the S61 right into the JV 1010. It does not see the incoming midi.

I can trigger the JV 1010 from the S61 if the USB cable is unplugged.

So I guess the question is - is there a setting in the S61 to switch between the midi outputs? Right now it's one or the other - not the most elegant set-up. If not, maybe that can be addressed in a firmware update?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello,

you have to route it to the midi din connector if you use the keyboard connected to a computer. So then it's just a "normal" midi out like you have on midi interfaces too for example. I don't know logic but in cubase I would create a midi track with the keyboard as input of I select that track, and midi out goes to the midi port.
