Having issues with the container component

Hey folks. I'm a new Guitar Rig 7 user, so I'll try and explain things as clearly as possible (as I understand them) in case any of my understanding along the way is wrong.

I want to create a few different user presets for guitar and bass, and I want to map my midi foot controller (Behringer FCB1010) to control different things in each preset. The things I want it to control will differ between presets, so I'm trying to use a container component instead of the global macros, because as far as I understand, a container can be setup per preset, whereas the global macros are applied across all presets.

My problem: It looks like macro controls within a container component can only be used as 'momentary' switches. This means the switch has to be held down for an effect to remain active - which isn't ideal at all. When using global macros, users are able to choose between 'momentary' and 'toggle' modes but I can't see an option like this when using a container. I want macros in my container to be set as 'toggle' so they act more like a traditional stompbox. It feels insane that this option would be available in global macros, but not in a container, so I feel like i've got something wrong along the way.

I don't believe there's any issue there in regard to my hardware or MIDI mapping, as I've set everything up and it appears to be sending and receiving data just fine (I can assign pedals on the FCB1010 to various functions and all is good)

Can anyone point me in the right direction? Is it a limitation of the container component in guitar rig? Am I just not using the container correctly? Do I need to do something differently with the midi setup on my FCB1010? Or can I somehow use global macros (which definitely has the 'toggle' mode) in a way where it can control different things in each of my user presets?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers
