Komplete Kontrol does not remember chosen instrument from old FLSUDISO file

Usually when I upgrade my PC and back up my FLP files, I can load up the song with no problem, but this time when I load up an FLP file, everything loads fine, but Komplete Kontrol seems to have forgotten my chosen instrument. All through out the years this has never happened before. I don't even remember what instrument it was. Can anyone help?

Is it happening with all projects or only some? Were these made with the vs2 version of Komplete Kontrol or vst3? What version of Kontakt are you using? Do you remember what libraries were used in these projects?

All projects are affected. I'm not sure what version of Komplete, but I updated everything so it should be the latest, and I'm not sure what version of VST, but its Komplete Kontrol...not Kontact. I am using all the latest versions of everything since I always update everything. Any suggestions? Thank you for responding.

Well, the VST2 version was dropped with Komplete Kontrol version 3. Maybe these projects were using the vst2 version, that would mean you were using Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6.

You could give this a try, downgrade to 2.9.6:

• Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6 (macOS)
• Komplete Kontrol 2.9.6 (Windows)

Also, FYI, Komplete Kontrol loads Kontakt in the background. Can you please check what version of Kontakt is installed on your system? If it's Kontakt 6, then you might have updated libraries and this broke compatibility with Kontakt 6, Komplete Kontrol then can't load the library. Check this list of libraries, see if you use a lot of those, that could be the issue:
