How to refresh/replace a damaged vst file?

Migrating from k61 mk2 to k61 mk3. Having freezes and can't load songs in my DAW (Studio One 7) that contain NI stuff or it freezes. Debugging commencing…

Starting in KK software per conventional wisdom, I'm getting an error during VST scan. Not sure that this should impact loading songs in my DAW, but thought I'd work this out first. If I hit ok on this error message, and let KK load up completely, I can load and play instruments from the new k61 mk3 fairly well, but after switching presets a few times, KK software freezes.

Do I need to replace that MidiShapeShifter VST? If so, how should I go about that?

    Do you use "Midi Shape Shifter" in anything, that appears to be the problem plugin. Is it up to date completely?
