S49 Mk2 Touch strip MIDI noise

Hello all, I just got myself an S49 mk2 (brand new) and I'm struggling with the touch strip.

It continuously transmits CC11 MIDI data to my DAW (Studio One) around the 20-30% range. If I touch it it will send the correct values among the noise, but the noise doesn't stop. So the strip is basically unusable and even worse it clutters up my recorded MIDI data.

There doesn't seem to be a way to configure the touch strip in the latest version of KK, do I need to downgrade to v2.9.6 or something?

Or any other ideas? Thanks guys.

The MIDI settings are found in Komplete Kontrol in standalone:

You can also reset the MIDI assignments to default by creating a new template.

YOu can also monitor the MIDI of the keyboard: How to Monitor the Output of a MIDI Controller

If it emits MIDI data when you don't touch the touchstrip or the wrong data when you touch it, it's probably a hardware issue, you'll need to get in touch with our hardware service here: https://bit.ly/NI_support_Hardware

Thank you, it was helpful to learn that the MIDI settings are only in the standalone app and not the Komplete Kontrol VST.

Access to the MIDI settings they helped me troubleshoot the issue. Turning off the touch strip didn't stop the MIDI stream. For anyone else having similar problems my issue was user error :) I had plugged my sustain pedal into the wrong pedal input and it was working as an expression pedal instead. Switching my pedal to input Pedal A solved the issue.

My touch strip is working fine, I just assumed it didn't because it, like the pedal, was mapped to CC1.
