I'm using the Guitar Rig 7 on a MacBook M2 Air Sequoia 15.1.1
I guess I jumped the gun by upgrading to Sequoia. So this is a word to the wise (wiser than me, that is).
After upgrading to Sequoia, the component controls work as expected in the standalone app - fantastic. However, using the plugin in GarageBand, the controls are hopelessly slow. Imagine your trackpad speed set to .01, so you have to swipe left or right 20 times to get a control pointer to move from one setting to the next, as in changing a volume level from 5 to 6.
Hoping this issue will be addressed in an update soon.
