I have managed to resolve the issue by manually pointing Logic to the folder on my external drive. It seems that the stand alone kontakt new where to look but not Logic😂

Hi there
iMac 2020 3.6GHz 8-core Intel Core i9
OS Sonoma 14.6.1
Logic Pro 11
Also iPad Pro 12.9" (Intel Chip) which also has Logic Pro 11. I haven't put KONTKT 8 on that yet. I need to get it working on the iMac first.
I can load the Instruments that were already showing in Kontakt like the Piano Uno in the Logic Plugin version and I can load the Instruments I have downloaded on the stand alone version of Kontakt. But I can't load the instruments I have downloaded through the Logic Plugin route.
any help appreciated

Have you tried in Kontakt in standalone? Same issue? Do Kontakt and Logic have full disk access? How to Enable Full Disk Access on macOS
