Komplete UI is blacked out in Cubase 14

Hello, I've seen threads about this elsewhere, but not as it relates to Cubase 14.

Anybody know why Komplete's UI is blacked out after installing Cubase 14? I followed the possible fixes in other threads and nothing worked. Also, it blacks out for some VIs and not others. I did not have this issue at all in Cubase 13.

I'm using Komplete 2.9.6 because I build out every user library (including synths) in the Komplete browser and can't deal with the back-and-forth page flipping in V3.

Any suggestions would be very welcome! Thanks!

    What macOS version?

When you say "blacked out" do you mean the whole display of KK goes blank?

There was a LONG standing issue they never bothered to fix for Windows users where in Ableton Live at least, VST3 plugins would not show a GUI at all for some plugins (cherry audio, korg, Gforce) and while it was confirmed by NI back at the start of 2022 when VST3 compatibility was added, it was ignored and never fixed, a reason I feel for issues we need to constantly be vocal on the matter.

I know how you feel in regards to the constant need to flip between browser and plugin window, funnily no matter how many people bring this up it never seems to actually make sense to those that designed the GUI but a sad thing for mac users will be as each OS releases the chance of KK V2 breaking completely will increase and since it is no longer supported by NI, eventually you will be forced to switch.

    Thanks for responding.

I'm using Sonoma 14.7.1. See my screenshot. Only the Komplete UI is blacked out and if I click around I can activate the menus in Komplete even though I can't see them. The VI always shows up and in some cases, everything works fine. The blacking out is seemingly random.

I'm hoping that the addition of the side browser to Kontakt 8 will move NI to add it back to Komplete. It seems like people like that that was added to Kontakt.

Sorry, I did not really understand the screenshot as it didn't show your whole screen and I figured it was just showing some empty space around the plugin window. Since it is macOS, my guess is that Sonoma is the issue since for whatever reason when Apple release updates, backwards compatibility is never something they consider and likely means this will be the end of the usefulness of KK V2 for mac users.

I'm hoping that the addition of the side browser to Kontakt 8 will move NI to add it back to Komplete. It seems like people like that that was added to Kontakt.

Yeah that is a huge reason I cant use KK V3 and can only hope (since Kontakt and Maschine still have the side browsers) Problem is with the lackluster speed at which we see any features or improvements roll out for KK, could be one loooooong (indefinite) wait.

It's only in Cubase 14. Cubase 13, Logic, Reaper, Ableton and the latest version of Pro Tools have no issues with displaying the Komplete UI in this version of MacOS. That's why I was wondering if there was some small thing I was missing when I was troubleshooting. The fact that it happens randomly leaves me a bit stumped as to whether it's an NI problem or a Steinberg problem. But since this issue has cropped up for NI users before, I figured I'd start here.

    Thanks again
