Query about AUTO button on Kontrol S61 MK3

When using Kontrol S61 MK3 with Logic Pro, the AUTO button only changes to automation mode from "Read" to "Touch".

Should it open actual "Automation" view also (what we do using "A" key command on typing keyboard)? Or opening "Automation" view needs us to use typing keyboard only?

I was expecting AUTO button to do both: open "Automation" view and change mode to "Touch".

I really wish I could press shift and it would toggle to ”Latch” instead of ”Touch”.
