How to download Komplete Kontrol Standalone so I can use the Midi Editor & fix my sustain pedal

Apparently I only have a plug-in version of Komplete Kontrol, so I have no access to the midi editor to check on why my sustain pedal is malfunctioning. TDCatTech has a YouTube clip that says that's because I'm using the plug-in version of KK. I see no "standalone" version in the downloads section of the NI download page. Where do I get this standalone version? Thanks.

Hey. Per your 11:09 comment - yeah, forget KK: I checked the settings right on my keyboard. My sustain pedal DOES have all correct MIDI settings according to various NI, YouTube, & Facebook Logic Group brain trusts. And per various posts in this forum (like the one referenced above) my 3.3.3 version of KK does NOT have a MIDI edit option.

So there ya go. Thanks for your help donmaddonald. The original reason I was trying to verify my sustain pedal MIDI settings was because the pedal cut out in the middle of recording a piano plug-in in Logic. Sustain was suddenly gone and Logic failed to record the complete length of the punch-in region. I shall now exit the NI community and proceed to descend upon the Logic forums for further enlightenment. Ah the mysteries of life.

you already have it, is the same file, go on your Native Instruments application folder and just click on Komplete Kontrol, it should open by itself, without your DAW.

Nope. That does not work. The five pin DIN icon shown in the video appearing in the right top area of the KK window doesn't appear, hence no access to the MIDI editor in KK. To confirm: my DAW is not open. I have called up KK, then turned on my S88 (which is where in the video the 5 pin DIN icon appears, triggered by the powering up of the S88.) I get no icon.

    This from another post…

As this is not a widely used feature, we had to deprioritise for the initial launch.

That said, those people who do use it (myself included!) need it. It is already being worked on and will ship in a free update most likely in the first half of next year.

This is written 11/2024. I bought this platform three weeks ago. Apparently the update has not been released at the "likely" date.

uhm.. i am little bit confused, did you press the hardware setting button on your keyboard? on mine I can edit the pedal and other midi mapping function directly on the keyboard, I don't need Komplete at all.

I think I miss understood the question at first.

so are you having an hardware problem or a software problem?

like you stand alone software is not working properly? or your hardware stand alone?
