We will have some NAMM announcements. No new hardware from NI, though.

Maybe this is the year we will see some improvements and progress on Komplete Kontrol, ideally fixing the BANKS issue, restoring accessibility and less likely, addressing the browsing experience. Be nice to have some refinements in performance too but 3 tasks is probably already stretching the limits.

Well, what announcements did we get from NAMM? The only thing I saw was Akai actually has their standalone products getting support before the Maschine+. I see no news or updates from NAMM which say anything about Komplete Kontrol 3 and their newer KK MK3 keyboards.

What news was mentioned at NAMM for the actual things we've been asking for ?

If that was the news Matt was talking about then that only helps those of us who own a MPC. What about kontrol mk3 owners .. they mentioned nothing about it only what coming for maschine +.. last update did nothing for me and many others that are looking for software updates and much needed bug fixes.

Hi Matt, Can you explain where the updates for Komplete Kontrol 3 or the MK3 are being announced at NAMM last week ?

The NAMM announcement was, chiefly, the addition of 3rd party hardware support to Komplete Kontrol (Kontakt to follow).

We also have improved plug-in scanning shipping soon to Komplete Kontrol, and Play Assist Arpeggiator and our Accessibility integrations are currently in beta for Kontrol S MK3.

@Chris_NI can keep you in the loop moving forward, as I'm in Kontakt-land nowadays.

I thought in quarter 4 there was a big announcement for komplete kontrol? Was 3rd party the big announcement with all the outstanding issues with komplete software with kontrol mk3?

would love to know when the browser will be fixed, when banks will be fixed, when accessibility will be fixed. Kind of dragging on now…

We need to tread carefully when using the word "fixed". That word implies a bug or flaw that is blatantly causing operational issues within a part OR the whole of a software application.

Casually throwing this word around with the Browser or Banks and especially with Accessibility - is touchy as none of these areas are actually broken. They function - as designed.

This is not to say we need to "like" the way they function or how they are designed - but make no mistake - not liking something does not make it "broken".

What appears to be "broken" to a minority of us - may not be at all for the much larger majority of the userbase.

For us holdouts on KKv3 - we may need to someday accept the fact that this might be as good as it's going to get.

I'd like to know where this larger majority / userbase is that wouldn't want the features that worked well before, to then lose them. Maybe you meant to say, for the userbase that never knew any better.

That kind of logic works well for corporations that don't want to support options, which once existed , we've seen this in politics, but are we really going to try and justify this kind of behavior VocalPoint ? Again ?

Do you search threads to oppose the customers that are trying to hold the developers to a higher standard ?

You really need to stop and think what side you're on.
