Where is the Kontakt library order list stored?

Today, Kontakt messed up the installed libraries order. I had to reinstall the whole computer from a yesterday MacOS Time machine backup. The order is now back to what it is supposed to be. I would like to access this file and understand how it is manage, and do weekly beackups so the next time Kontakt mess it up, I can simply replace the default file. Anyone has an idea where it is and if it is possible to modify it? I have hundreds of library and reorder them by hand is too tedious. That would be nice if Kontakt had a menu item to Save the current libraries list order.

Unfortunately, there is not one file responsible for this. It is written in every library's plist or registry entry.

The default installation location for Kontakt libraries on a Mac is Macintosh HD > Users > Shared. If you can't find a library's content folder there, you can check the default install locations in Native Access. To load Kontakt libraries, you can:

    1. Open Kontakt in standalone mode or as a plug-in in your DAW
    2. Highlight the LIBRARY button in Kontakt's header and click the Instruments tab
    3. Scroll through the browser and click the picture icon for your library
    4. Click once on a preset to activate a preview
    5. Double-click the preset to load the instrument

Apart from the bot answer…I’m not that sure the “material” file on your computer is accessible and editable.

I suppose that IF it is somewhere, it could be in the folders that get created under Documents no matter where you install the library, and that if you want to find it you’ll have to do a bit of “folder diving”

To antoniodominique. I know where are stores my Kontakt libraries. They are on a remote SSD hard drive. What I am looking for is a file that Kontakt uses each time it launch to display my libraries (in the left Kontakt pane) in a particular order. As you know, we can reorder the library image position from top to bottom. as you grant Kontakt and Service Center full disk access in the MacOS System settings, the order should be kept forever. My problem is that Kontakt has messed it up completely. I would like to understand where is store the given order document where the order is saved and have a weekly backup of that file so incase Kontakt mess up again I replace the culprit file with the correctly working backup.
