recently I have bought the Contact 8 upgrade and an audio instrument called Naught, but neither of them work on my Mac Pro 2019, or even come up in my Native Instruments app

If your profile is correct and you're still running Big Sur then you won't be able to run Kontakt 8 as the system requirements for Mac are MacOS 12,13 or 14. The requirements can be found at the bottom of the purchase page here - https://www.native-instruments.com/en/pricing/kontakt-8/

Do you mean they're not showing in Native Access?

What version of Native Access are you using? Make sure to install the latest version here: https://www.native-instruments.com/en/specials/native-access-2/

Please also note that Kontakt 8 requires MacOS 12 as a minimum requirement.

ok, thank you to you both for your answers !

I am not sure I should update my OS, as its all running smoothly here ( or upgrade my actual computer as thats expensive )

So if I cant, can I have my money back for the purchase of the two things I bought ( KONTACT 8 and the other one )?

Or can you advise about upgrading my OS?
As I work making tracks for people and mixing , its my living ( I have had 5 songs on Radio 2 in the Uk this year already ) and I support my family and so I cant have my computer just not work properly suddenly if you understand

Whether you can get money back for the purchases you can't currently use is up to support, @Jeremy_NI will know more about that. You could do a Time Maschine backup then try an upgrade to Sonoma as long as all the hardware and software you use is compatible with it. You can check compatibility for Native Instruments software here - Compatibility of Native Instruments Products on macOS – Native Instruments.

If things go pear shaped you can restore your backup. Just don't connect the TM disk to the Mac after you've upgraded! I guess it depends how much downtime you can accept if things do go wrong and how much you want to get Kontakt 8 and the newer expansions.

@Ian Barter Yes, you can ask for a refund for compatibility issues. If your Mac allows it, I would personnally recommend to update it, either to MacOs 12, 13 or 14 since these operating systems have been here long enough so there are no compatibility issues with our products (and others). I do understand your concerns but you'll need to update your OS eventually. Maybe choose a time when you have a little time ahead just in case of. Also updating an OS shouldn't affect projects that are saved, preferably on an external hard drive (for safety).
