The answer is that they have different hex codes for the letter ö since the older one is created on Mac and the new one on PC.

Well, where are these files coming from? A NI library? Third party? Your own?

I've made the banks myself from third party sounds. I discovered this when saving the bank after scanning for missing samples since I've got a new PC and my user name is different. After saving the bank and closing, the samples were still missing the next time I opened the bank. So I went to the Explorer and found the duplicate bank, and that I needed to delete the old bank from Quick Load and drag the new one there instead. Then I could load it without the need of scanning for missing samples.
