is there a way to connect a launch key midi controller to Komplete control instruments?

If you are asking if it is possible to connect a controller to access and control the 8 parameters on the Kontrol keyboard, yes (or at least you use to be able to, unsure if the latest version has that feature, there is a lot they didnt put in as yet).

If you launch the KK software without a KK keyboard switched on you should see a MIDI button:

Make sure in the KK preferences you select the MIDI input for the controller you want to learn into KK as a second controller then map the knobs and buttons as required.

Once done you can then connect the KK keyboard back up and you should now have control over these from both KK and your second controller

If I'm understanding you correctly, you would still need to map them yourself for the different instruments you're using as the launchkey can't autodetect and be configured automatically like the Kontrol MK3 keyboards.

much appreiciated Mgee!! really, do you no where the kk preferences are to select the midi input? that would be golden, and finally give me some decent control, thanks!!!
