How can I MIDI map one of the rotary knobs of an AKAI APC KEY25 to serve as the Mod Wheel?

Hi folks,

While I've got an NI KONTROL S88 as my main keyboard, I also use an AKAI APC KEY25 on my desktop to quickly scribble ideas. Since I'm relatively new to KONTAKT I wonder, whether and how I can map one of rotary knobs of the AKAI to serve as the mod wheel?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

You should have some kind of software for the Akai where you can setup different MIDI CCs to knobs and buttons. Modulation wheel is MIDI CC1. Check if this is assignable to one of the knobs.

    Hello,

Mod wheel is cc#1, so you simple change one knob to cc#1 that way it will work with all instruments without any hassle.

P S. As far as I can see you can't change the midi CC numbers for the knobs, you then have to do it within your DAW by using a midi transformer or you enable "KSP" within kontakt on the top right and insert a factory preset, there is one to change out midi CC numbers, I'm not in front of my PC right now but later can exactly show you how to do that if you can't find it.
