How do we feel about Falcon 3.1 - new browser, tags and previews?

So, it's almost a carbon copy of Komplete Kontrol, down to the tags, the downloadable tag library (which contains previews), mimmicking almost every tag from NI, with a very similar browser design to the currenty implementation of KK (Albiet with a side browser, to allow drap and drop - which KK can't currently do.

Unless NI has helped UVI implement this as part of its deal to bring limited product to the NKS1 ecosystem, this is almost a direct rip by UVI.

Now, I know lots of those that left NI joined Image Line, who then bought UVI, but even down to the single star favourite and milti-column rescaling, it's a carbon copy.

Good for them, I don't really care about the 'Capitalism' stuff - if something works well, and this format clearly does (although note the side browser NI!), why shouldn't others use the same approach? Sometimes it just gets ridiculous that there is no consistency between products just because they feel they have to do something different for the sake of 'branding' or whatever (this is why we have gazillion plugin preset formats instead of one unified format used by all companies)

The main limitation for me is currently there is no way to show my third party Falcon libraries, which I tend to use more (especially those from Simon Stockhausen)

Agreed, NI has a great format for their browser, others should take notes. I'm glad to see UVI adapt this.
