old Cubase project and NI

Hi I wrote a track about 14 years ago and I wanted to remix it for 2024. However, we had some major changes with regards to the architecture and Cubase no longer supports 32bit plug-in unless you are on a 32bit system. To reap the benefits of a 64bit system, I moved with the times. This produced a problem where by plug-ins are missing, Kontakt 1,2,3,4 will no longer load without some sort of bridging tool like Jbridge to encapsulate a 32bit plug-in into a 64bit plug-in. This means hundreds projects are lost. however, I have noticed that Cubase 13 now loads the new plug-in but it has problems loading the original instrument. For example Cubase can not find kontakt 4 but it replaces and loads the latest version kontakt 7 and tempts to load instruments but fails to load any samples. So something isn't quite right.

I'm currently hunting down my original installation CD for kontakt 1,2,3 and 4 to try Jbridge and migrate old projects and save them.

Anyone encountered the same issues or have any advice on how to save the projects. Any tools that will help?

    Cubase can not find kontakt 4 but it replaces and loads the latest version kontakt 7 and tempts to load instruments but fails to load any samples. So something isn't quite right.

    What is the exact error message, can you share a screenshot?

    Hi

    No error message, just states Kontakt 4 can not be found and uses Kontakt 7. When I play back the project, drums are gone, open up Kontakt 7 to check and there is only one instrument with no samples. I wasn't even prompted to locate the samples.

    Do I need the previous version of Kontakt installed from the migration to work. I have 100's of projects like this.

    As you can see the samples are listed but not loaded into groups and slices.. Cubase 13.

    Do you remember what libraries you were using in these projects? I'm wondering if it could be an issue with activation.

    Granted the libraries still work, MK2 Piano loads ok, but these are freshly made instruments, loading a sample (which is shows) then sliced, grouped and routed through different channels. Groups seem to be missing as well as the sample not loading.

    When a sample is missing it normally says, sample missing relocate.

    Here is the sample.

    Notice the midi section shows any instrument and any channel.

    Notice Battery 3 isn't migrated to Battery 4 and shows missing plug-in.

    With regards to activation, everything seems activated and working on new projects.

    I don't mean to moan, I'm just looking for a solution.
