Kontakt 8 cannot open GIU from old NKC/NKR
Hi there,
I have a few old libraries NKC/NKR for Kontakt Full stored with K5.0. They open perfectly with K6 and K7 but they do not show the custom UI graphics with K8. I tried a test, and opened a library in question with K6.7 and stored the patch only. After that, K8 could load the UI graphics. Do I have to re-save all Instrument patches with K6.7 (or most lower compatible version) to be able to open the GUIs in K8 or there is some sort of workaround?

FYI, this should be fixed in the next update of Kontakt 8.

Hey @Tangra I reached out to the Kontakt and Kontakt instruments teams, they are looking into it right now. Forwarding their workaround in the meantime:
- After loading nki into K8, Navigate to "Editor view (wrench icon) -> Instrument Options -> Instrument
- Under "Resource Container" click on the envelop icon to open the Os file explorer
- Point to the NKR file inside of the content folder (where the library in installed on the system)
- Save NKI and reopen K8 + load NKI
