KK stand alone loading instruments but not the plugin

    so I'm doing a scan of the plugins in KK…. so far only vst plugins are showing up… no vst3s…. I took the old kontakt vst and kontakt vst3 plugins out of the vst folders so the only plugin now is kontakt 8… let's see what happens

    wow… this is frustrating. I got rid of all versions of kontakt plugins except v 8 and still KK would not load any instruments inside LUNA or Studio One. Everything loaded fine with the stand alone.

    AU version of KK in Logic Pro 11 can't load an instrument either…. I'm going back to un checking the box.

    yeah, for some reason KK stand alone is opening up kontakt v6…. Sadly there are libraries that only open v6..

    Don't know what to do….. also in Logic Pro, nothing is working properly

    Check your plugin paths in KK options and make sure the correct VST3 path is there, it sounds like maybe it isn’t

    Well it looks like I'm good to go… thanks so much for your help. There is a new issue with KK however. Not serious…. When I load a new patch into KK, the sound changes but the visual in the GUI does not…. weird

    So was it the path that was wrong?

    There's a Kontakt 7 bug in KK on Mac causing the GUI not to update, the fix is minimise and maximise KK to force a refresh - it is fixed with Kontakt 8 though

    there were multiple paths… probably not good.

    I have Kontakt 8 and the GUI is still misbehaving… unless of kk is loading Kontakt 7…. Btw, is there any reason to keep Kontakt 7?

    It isn't now for me but you will need to have that box checked to load latest versions of plugins, otherwise Kontakt will load the version the library was made with rather than migrate to the latest version
