Logic Pro does not save connected S88 MK3 settings in Control Surface Setup

I am curious if anyone else is experiencing this and has found a solution. I've used Komplete Kontrol keyboards for years without issue. My previous one is a S61 MK2 that I still use for synth control. It stays in my control surface setup in Logic settings, and always auto connects when I launch a session with the keyboard connected. As long as I've had the S88 MK3 however, Logic never remembers the controller settings after I add it in the control surface setup — so every time I open a session, I have to walk through the control setup, adding the S88 likes its new. It always works as expected after that, but I just found it odd since I've never had to do this more than once with my previous controller. I can't determine if this is a Logic issue, or the controller itself. If anyone has any ideas or solutions I'd be glad to hear it.

I have a screen recording of the issue but the file is too big. I'll see if I can find a way to scale it down.

looks like no one has answered yet. While I don’t know the answer, NI discourages using two Komplete Kontrol keyboards at once because of various issues. Have you tried unplugging your S61 and then see if the MK3 will act correctly in Logic restarts? If that works and you still want to use the S61 as a MIDI controller, just use the MIDI din instead.
