GUI Problems in REAPER with Session Guitarist Electric Sunburst during playback

Hi,

I'm having some problems in REAPER with Session Guitarist Electric Sunburst (Deluxe). During playback, mouse operation of the GUI elements is getting interrupted, making it impossible to tweak the settings. When playback is stopped, everything works normal. Same behavior on Electric Mint. I'm also owning Prime Bass and Strummed Acoustic where everything is OK during playback. So, I'm guessing this is not a REAPER thing. Hopefully someone can chime in and test on his/her system. I'm working on Win10 x64, latest REAPER 7 and KONTAKT 7 versions.

Here's a link to my question on the REAPER forum: https://forum.cockos.com/showthread.php?t=294255

my guess is the PC you are using is struggling to keep up, especially given your Realtime cpu is hitting in the region of 40%….

    but thats just a guess

there also seem to be added voices trying to come through in the video… which im guessing hints to the CPU hitting a brick wall

but that again is just a guess

thanks for pointing out the CPU load. Never looked at that display, because till now it wasn't necessary. Meanwhile I tested on a more capable Laptop with complete different hardware. Same problem there, but significant less CPU, about 15…20%. So I'm still thinking this has nothing to do with my Laptops.

Meanwhile I've found what causes the problem: switching patterns leads to that behavoir, at least in electric sunburst and mint. It has nothing to do with playback, my Laptop specs/Audiointerface, or DAW! The Problem also exists in BandLab Calkwalk! Steps are easy to reproduce: open the Sound Preset Dropdown box while constantly switching patterns with a MIDI keyboard. Strange enough, Prime Bass works correct. So, all you good people at Native Instruments, please have a look at this.

By the way, is it possible to edit this thread title?
