Why does Maschine and Kontrol vsts not save and reopen with the project file of the DAW?

A very frustrating issue that makes Maschine and Kontrol so annoying as to be useless if every single instance needs to have it's preset saved as well as the DAW project.

normally, that's not needed, what DAW do you use?

I use Bitwig. It didn't bother me too much when it was Maschine because generally it's only one preset, but I've only just realised how handy the Kontrol vst is, aside from the fact that I need to save every preset and recall it manually if I want to use it in Bitwig.

I have bitwig 8 track if I remember correctly, I can try later if I'm back on my music PC. But I can say for sure that doesn't happen with cubase, reaper, ableton and many more daws I tested/used over the years. Otherwise the forum would be flooded for sure with that issue. Have you tried to start bitwig as administrator?

It's actually my mistake. I have multiple tracks with similiar names and similiar layouts, colours etc. and I stupidly opened one that I hadn't picked sounds for yet, instead of the one that I had picked sounds for.

However, this is a problem that I've had with Maschine before, where the state of Maschine is not recalled along with the project, so I'm scared not to save the Maschine preset now.

Have you never heard of this issue at all?

If I remember correctly we had this in the forum at least once, but not very often for sure but I can't remember any solution.
