Hi, I was wondering when using Guitar Rig 7 in Cubase 13, should I be applying it as an Insert or as a Send?

Thanks

You want to apply as an insert so that your original (guitar) signal runs through the plugin in serial.

You would only use a send if you wanted parallel processing. i.e. Using a send in Cubase you will hear the original (dry) guitar signal, and then based on the level of the send that would be mixed back into it.

Thank you so much for that info. Really appreciated😊. If you don't mind, could I lean into your knowledge a little further? This is not for a Native Instrument, and so is not the right forum I will fully understand if you don't reply . Would I keep something like Waves CLA Vocal Plugin as an Insert? I ask because it uses a range of effects, (compression, delay, reverb, pitch), when it is applied. I know that compression would normally go into Insert, whilst delay and reverb would go into Send. I was just wondering what to do when using a plug in that combines them.
