I am having trouble getting both keyboards to allow me to assign patch changes in MainStage. It seems that only one keyboard, depending on which one I plug in first, can send the midi message, the other one enters midi mode but I cannot send midi to MainStage.

    Hello,

you should be able to use both to play midi notes on different tracks but only one keyboard can control komplete kontrol in full depth, browsing and all that. You could midi learn the 8 knobs with the keyboard in midi mode like you can with any 3rd party keyboard but the a series has no buttons in midi mode so you can't switch knob pages or presets.

I mapped the A61 to change patches up and down using the exit and play buttons and I want to do the same on the A49 but seems that only one keyboard can do this at the moment. But it worked before when I had an earlier operating system. But surely there is a way.

Then you have mapped it using the DAW port cuse the other midi port outputs the keys, MW, PB and in midi mode additionally the 8 knobs. Maybe if you can route the midi ports of one keyboard to one device and the other ports from the other keyboard to the other device it could work.

I don’t know how I would do that. But sounds like a great idea, I’ll see what I can do and post on here with the results.
    Thanks for your advice.

Maybe ask also in the mainstage forum, and describe that the midi you use to switch the presets comes through a different midi port for each keyboard. So you have 4 midi ports in total 2 per keyboard.
