After initially using Kontrol VST, getting rid of it later, in a song?

So if I start a new song in Bitwig, using Komplete Kontrol VST3 to initially compose and shape the sounds, can I later get rid of the Kontrol VST3 while keeping all automation intact?

Since Kontrol knows the plugin, its parameter list and also the used automation, why not add an "convert to instrument" option, which replaces Kontrol with the original VST while keeping all the data….? This could be done via a combination of a .vstpreset + .mid file export. Or maybe even more integrated.

It's an interesting idea but there is no way to currently do this. However, what would work is using the Kontrol keyboard to control and automate the plugin using Bitwig remote controls instead - see my posts here:
