KK very often crashes while browsing through / switching between different plugins (e.g. Ashlight, Lores, Arkhis) since the last update and shows strange behaviour - see picture. Very frustrating 27" Intel-iMac, Sonoma 14.6, Logic 11.0.1, KK 3.3.1
UPDATE: Updated to the new Version 3.3.2. Still crashes in/with Logic. Screenshot shows the KK-Window just before crashing after I tried to open "Deft Lines". Has anybody an idea, please?
Must be related to the Mac version. I've seen nothing like that on Windows 10/Ableton.
There's another thread in the forum about this too, but NI has not responded yet I think.
Sonoma 14.6? OK didn't realise that was out, still on 14.5 - not crashing for me there
@Kymeia 14.6.1. is the newest regular version.
yeah just installing as it’s an important security fix but it wasn’t showing in updates like it usually does
BTW: I also really want to DOWNGRADE to KK 2.9.x, as this version works so much better with my KOMPLETE KONTROL S49 MK2. (I really don't like the 3+ Versions) Does anybody knows if a downgrade is possible. Keeping both versions as mentioned here somewhere doesn't allow me to use KK 2.9x in Logic.
Yes it’s possible to do that
@Kymeia Would you please tell me how? Just install version 2.9 and delete version 3?
The installer is in the link on how to keep them side by side:
https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/14394517675677-How-to-Keep-Komplete-Kontrol-2-9-and-Komplete-Kontrol-3-on-Your-System
If you no longer want to keep them side-by-side then just don't just don't follow the procedure to rename the folder so the older installer overwrites the new version - afaik that should be enough but obviously if you have some renamed folders already delete those just to be safe
Incidentally I have updated to 14.6.1 now and run a few Logic/KK test projects, no crashes so far but will post a report if anything changes
@Kymeia thank You very much. I will try it and keep You informed as well. Will take some time as I'm not in the studio right now. Thx again for Your patience!
