Komplete Kontrol S88 Mk II pumps out Expression control changes on reboot

When I reboot my computer and run Midi-OX I see that my Komplete Kontrol S88 Mk II is continually pumping out Expression control change messages. I do have an Expression pedal connected to the keyboard, but I know tat it is not changing position. How do I know this? Because, by starting the Komplete Kontrol app and turning the keyboard on and off in an as yet undetermined order, the control change messages stop, and I can operate my Expression pedal in the usual way. I have my Expression pedal and Volume pedal set up correctly in the default profile.
