I'm having trouble downloading a library to an external hard drive

I am trying to download a big sample library (Slate + Dash Landforms, about 70GB) and don't understand why it's not working — I have followed the advice on the support page:
https://support.native-instruments.com/hc/en-us/articles/360001976417-Native-Access-Error-Message-Downloading-Product-failed-could-not-create-new-file-or-truncate-existing-file
"
Example 1
In the screenshot below, the user has set their external harddisk as the Download location. While this is fine to do, a dedicated folder must be chosen on that harddisk. The root disk location cannot be chosen. The correct location in this case should be /Volumes/Sandisk 480/Downloads. The other locations in this example are set correctly.
"
However I continue to get the message "Download failed: could not create new file or truncate existing file".
Has anyone else had any issues with this? Any help would be much appreciated!
