I am having a problem getting KK to scan the plugins. It hangs as soon as I try to open the app. This is a new app for my comp, kontact 7 works as fine. thanks for the help.

    Does it show a splash screen when it hangs?

    Is there any info on the splash screen such as a plugin that it is trying to scan?

    I find sometimes when it scans plugins a popup appears asking you to auth/activate a plugin but it may appear behind the splash banner. Otherwise sometimes a plugin may be dodgy or corrupt but usually the splash will readout the plugin it is currently trying to scan to nail it down easier. I don't use the latest version of KK, I still use version 2.9 so not sure if that is another of those useful features they decided to remove.

    when it starts to load the screen says "waiting to scan plugins" and never goes past that screen until I close the screen. it doesn't hang on a particular plugin because it wont go past waiting to scan.

    where can I find an earlier version of KK?
