I just bought a used komplete kontrol s88 for a bargain, but i cannot get it to work with ableton 12, its not showing up in the editor. I was wondering if this product no longer gets supported or not? If so, its something i should definately have checked out, but on the other hand i would find it kinda ridiculous if the mk1 where not supported anymore.

Well, being on mac you will likely find it is not supported :(

Firstly, you MUST NOT install the latest version of Komplete Kontrol as it does not support the MK1 anymore, it is "end of life" hence why you would have got it for a "bargain".

You need to install the v 2.9 of KK which is not available in Native Access, you need to download it from here:

Next you need to hope the drivers install on the latest macOS version because that will be the issue you will have with macOS, the fact the drivers will, at some point, refuse to install and force you to upgrade, just how macOS works. Your keyboard will not appear as a device until you have drivers installed and that is installed with the Komplete Kontrol software.

How have you configured it in Ableton preferences/MIDI? I just use Live 11, but this is the general configuration for Ableton.
