All software deleted itself from a hard drive

I have Komplete collectors' edition 14 on a seagate 1 TB drive. Haven't touched it- light is still on indicating it's plugged in.

In the middle of a reaper session when it freezes. I end task. I open back and I get the notification: "One or more Kontakt instances cannot be recalled, etc." I restart computer, same error. I go to "native access" - nothing mapping. I go to the hard drive- all the friggen NI software is not there. I did not delete them, did not remapr, did not change computers. When I loaded this motherFing software- it tooks 2 DAYS to download and install. DAYS. not they are just GONE. nothing opens. none of my songs work. I'm insanely pissed off.

i can only imagine how long it took to download….

heres a little trick i've used in the past with downloads….

especially with downloads that are big in size!!

when Native Access is downloading for example… a single instrument of 9GB

pay attention to where it is downloading the file… allow the instrument to be downloaded to 98% or 99% and then pause the download within Native Access……

find the instrument file in your system, while it is paused… make a copy of it, and save it somewhere, leaving the name intact… at which point you can resume the download etc

now becos you have saved the file at 98% or 99% …

should you ever need to redownload that whole 9GB file

you would start native access as per normal… allow it to down 3-5% of the download through native access

then pause it native access from continuing the download,.. "replace" the download file with the 98% file, then resume the download

useful for huge GB files… smaller FX files i would allow it to download as normal, im unsure if this would work with Windows… i suspect it would, but this method was done using MacOS
