Kontrol s61 Mk3 can't control the logic DAW

I use Logic Pro 11.0.0 and I just bought the Komplete Kontrol S61 MK3. It works fine with the plugins, only the DAW control functions like play, record, stop don't work and when I press the 'DAW' button the screen on the keyboard goes black and I can't go back to the Browser or Plugin state.

I read on your forum to delete the com.apple.logic.pro.plist from the preferences folder in the library. That didn't help. I'm not sure if it was the User library though. I think the trick with pressing the alt key in the Go menu to get to the user library is only for previous MacOS versions right?

Anyway, because everything works fine in Ableton I figure it has to something with the Logic settings. This is what I have now:

Have you tried to delete this file:

    Macintosh HD/Users/Username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.logic.pro.cs

Note: the User Library folder is hidden. To access it, click on Go in the menu bar and press down the Alt key. You'll now find the Library entry in the menu:

I have an S88 and use it with Logic Pro 11. On those Input/Output Midi dropdowns I have Main, DAW, and EXT as available choices for the S88, and I've always used Main.

Also, until you add a software instrument track to Logic, and direct it to use either Kontakt or Komplete Kontrol, the Browser will not appear on the keyboard.

This is by design. The Kontakt or Komplete Kontrol browser cannot exist unless the keyboard is connected to those products.

Have you tried the steps here for Logic? It should simply be Auto Assign.
