Missing banner images for Arturia V Collection - where does the fault lie?
I've taken delivery of an S61 Mk3 today, and the first thing I noticed was that none of the Arturia plugins show a banner image on the keyboard screen.
After reinstalling all of the V Collection plugins in interactive mode (extremely painful), deleting the [User]/Library/Application Support/Native Instruments/Komplete Kontrol directory and reinstalling Komplete Kontrol, the banner images are still missing.
However, going into /Library/Arturia/[Plugin]/Third Party/Native Instruments/presets/PAResources/image/Arturia/[Plugin] and renaming the final directory to be all lowercase, the banner image now shows up.
So, is this a failure of Komplete Kontrol to correctly identify the image, or of Arturia for incorrect naming?
Either way, having to go and rename all these folders for novice users who don't know the terminal commands to batch rename is a real pain.

@Matthew_NI I've just deleted the /Users/Shared/NI Resources directory for the third time (and rebooted and restarted Komplete Kontrol etc.), and this time KK did indeed properly rescan the plugins, and I now have banner images for all the plugins that provide them.
I wish I could provide further insight into what I did differently this time, if anything, to make it work but alas as far as I can see, I didn't do anything differently.
Still, at least it now appears to be working.
Thanks everyone for your replies.

My guess is the Arturia plugins aren't up to the VST3 level used by the MK3 and all the new levels of NI tools. I'd touch base with Arturia support and find out if they're plugins are compatible with the new VST3 levels of plugins used by NI and most of the other plugin vendors. As I understand it this is an industry wide transition across all platforms right now. Or it could just be a misinterpretation of the "rules" by one or both of the companies.

I'm not sure this is as serious as a VST incompatibility - the instruments work fine as soon as I rename the final directory to be all lowercase, I'm really just wondering if Arturia didn't get the message about having to use all lowercase names, or if Komplete Kontrol is failing to properly scan the directories.

It could be something as simple as the .XML loader script has a different case than what's on the disk. VST incompatibility doesn't necessarily mean it won't function as there's a whole different architecture and procedures involved in the VST3 setup as I understand it. Lots of places to have errors and inconsistencies.

Just let Arturia support know, I'm not sure which ones are meant to have banner images yet either, looking in the PAR folders many do not even have them
Also I moved the banner images into the Arturia folder in /Users/Shared/NI Resources/image/arturia - that seems to work better

Old problem that constantly pops up.
Easiest way to fix is to restore them from a backup (or copy from another machine).

I've been through them all now and it looks like the only ones that don't have it for me are:
Acid V
Minifreak
Synthi V

Thanks for the info :)

A plug-in rescan the first time after a new installation usually resolves that.
Also note that only the NKS2 instruments mentioned here are official. The rest from Arturia remain unofficial and haven't passed QA yet.
