Can't assign dynamics to midi controller
Hi!
I've search the forum, but haven't found an answer to this.
I'm trying to assign a midi controller to the dynamics option in the Kontakt Factory Library, in this case the Flute under Orchestral (but it's the same problem in every instrument).
As you can see in the picture I've chosen the CC 2 (which is my breath controler, but I've also tried to assign it to faders of my midi keyboard without any luck) and clicked Learn, and it tells me to click a control. I click the Dynamics fader, but nothing happens. I can assign it to every other nob in the instrument, like the fade in and outs you see in the picture, but not the dynamics.
The only way to control the Dynamics is by the modwheel on the midi keyboard.
How do I solve this? For me it's crucial to be able to use my breath controller for these breatch based instruments.
Thanks
/Hugo
PS. I'm using Logic pro 10.7.9 on MacOS Monterey. DS.

Hello,
you can´t remap cc0 and cc1 normally, but if you own the full version of kontakt you can click on KSP then add the "transformer" module under "presets/factory/transform" then set it like i have in that picture or set the first cc as you need it. It´s self explanatory once you´ve opened it up.
Normally you can do that also in your daw with a midi transformer, like in cubase but i don´t know logic.

Let us know how you get on. Kontakt works extremely well with breath controllers, but there are wrinkles, and Factory Library 2 might not be your best option.

Hi!
That seemes to work yes, thank you!
I just had to (for future readers) CC# to number 2, who is the one that my breath controller uses.
I don't really understand how or why it works, but at this point it's enough for me!
Thanks again!

Cause breath/wind controllers put out the wind/blow strength out over cc2 normally, and we just re-routet it to cc1 (mod wheel) so it's simply controlling the volume

If you really don't understand what you have done, I strongly recommend that you bone up on basic MIDI protocol (how devices communicate with each other). It's not rocket science. You have huge potential here with your equipment and software, and this is utterly fundamental.
